The flow cone apparatus is used to determine the fluidity and workability of grout, particularly for prestressing ducts in post-tensioned structures. The test measures the time required for a specified volume of grout to flow through an orifice of a standardized cone. The measured flow time helps assess the consistency and suitability of the grout for application. Made of Stainless Steel 304. Supplied with 4 interchangeable (8, 9, 10 and 11 mm diameter) nozzles with fitting bush. Interchangeable nozzle 12.7 mm and 15mm available at Extra Cost.

Application
Used for determining the flow properties of grouts, mortars, muds and other fluid materials. EN 445 & NF P18-358 use a 10 mm orifice for testing standard grout flow time. NF P18-507 specifies a 15 mm orifice, likely to accommodate thicker grouts or different testing conditions. The selection of the orifice size depends on the type of grout being tested and the flowability range expected in the application.
