As per ASTM D5385, IS 16352. This apparatus is designed to determine the hydrostatic pressure resistance of waterproofing membranes by subjecting the test specimen to controlled water pressure. It evaluates the membrane’s ability to withstand water penetration under specified pressure conditions, ensuring suitability for construction and waterproofing applications. Supplied complete with all required accessories, it offers robust construction, accurate pressure measurement, and reliable performance for laboratory testing.

To test the hydrostatic resistance of waterproofing membrane under controlled condition

Details :

Consists of following parts and accessories

  1. Chamber as per figure 1 of ASTM D5385 standard
  2. Clamping bracket as per figure 2 of ASTM D5385 Standard
  3. The gasket and fastener to form the completed assembly as per figure 3 of ASTM D5385 Standard
  4. Air compressor to generate pressure upto 690 KPA (100 PSI) with an air pressure controller to regulate air in 15 psi interval
  5. Digital Pressure gauge - 1 to 25 Bar
  6. Plastic Funnel - 100 mm
  7. Stop Watch
  8. Silicon vacuum grease
  9. Smooth surfaced Metal Plate
  10. Concrete substrate casting mould

Note :

User shall have large conditioning chamber to condition, prepare and test the specimens. For sheet systems, the temperature shall be maintained between 2-7 C, For Liquid applied systems the temperature shall be maintained between 18-24 C.
