Constant Temperature Air Bath for Grease Penetration is designed for controlled-temperature conditioning of grease samples prior to penetration testing in accordance with IS 1448 (Part 60) / ASTM D217. The unit provides precise temperature control from 15°C to 30°C with ±0.5°C accuracy, using a microprocessor-based PID controller with PT-100 sensor. It features SS 304 construction, CFC-free refrigeration, insulated dual-door arrangement, adjustable shelves and calibrated reference thermometers for reliable laboratory operation.
Applicable Standards :
The equipment is designed to comply with IS 1448 (Part 60) / ASTM D217, latest version, for grease penetration testing.

Air Circulation :
- Temperature is maintained by a quiet running blower for better air circulation throughout the chamber. Forced air circulated vertically down and re‑circulated throughout the chamber for uniform temperature distribution.
Heating & Cooling System :
- Long lasting U‑Shaped tubular heaters used as heating element. Hermetically sealed compressor CFC free compressor (134 A gas) coupled with evaporation coil and condenser.
Trays for samples :
- Removable wire mess trays are part of the standard supply.
- Strong enough to with‑stand heavy load of test specimens, which should be equally distributed among trays.
- Such trays will also facilitate better air circulation.
- The distance between trays will be 15‑20 centimeters.

Construction :
Rectangular, vertical, double-walled construction. Inner chamber is fabricated from 18 SWG, AISI 304 corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Outer body is fabricated from 19 SWG AISI 304 stainless steel with matt finish.
Thermal Insulation :
CFC-free PUF insulation with low thermal conductivity is provided. Breaker strips are incorporated to minimize heat transfer and improve thermal efficiency.
Doors :
Two-door arrangement comprising an inner transparent acrylic door for clear observation and an outer insulated metallic door for thermal stability.
Shelves :
Adjustable shelves are provided for convenient placement of test samples/containers.
Thermometer Provision :
Provision is provided for insertion of an external/reference thermometer for temperature verification.
Cooling System :
Equipped with a CFC-free, eco-friendly refrigeration compressor suitable for maintaining the specified low-temperature range.
Controller Calibration :
The temperature controller/sensing system is supplied with a calibration certificate from an NABL/ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
