COPPER STRIPS -WITH 3.2 MM HOLE - AS PER ASTM D1838

The copper strip will conform to the requirements specified in ASTM D1838 and IS 1448 (Part 152) for the Copper Strip Corrosion Test.

Material

1. The copper strip will be manufactured from hard-temper, cold-finished copper having a minimum purity of 99.9%.

Dimensions

1. Width: 12.5 mm ± 2 mm (½ in.)
2. Thickness: 1.5 mm to 3.2 mm (1/16 to 1/8 in.)
3. Length: 75 mm ± 0.5 mm (3 in.)

Construction

1. Each copper strip will be cut from smooth-surfaced, cold-finished copper stock with a uniform finish suitable for corrosion testing.
2. A 3.2 mm (1/8 in.) diameter hole will be drilled centrally across the width of the strip, approximately 3.2 mm (1/8 in.) from one end, to facilitate suspension during testing.

Compliance

1. The copper strip will comply with the dimensional and material requirements specified in ASTM D1838 and IS 1448 (Part 152).
