DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR TRAINER-

Refrigeration Trainer enables students to study and understand Vapour Compression Cycle, its components, principle and working. All the components are mounted on rigid steel frame. The trainer consists of a hermetically sealed compressor; natural convection air‑cooled condenser, filter / drier, expansion device and evaporator. Separate pressure gauges are provided to record suction and discharge pressures and digital temperature indicators for various temperatures. The refrigerant used is R‑134a which is environment friendly.

SET OF EXPERIMENTS :

1. To study construction and working of domestic refrigerator
2. To evaluate cooling capacity of the refrigerator at the ambient temperature.
3. To evaluate the actual Coefficient of Performance of the refrigeration system.
4. To evaluate the theoretical Coefficient of Performance of the refrigeration system.
5. To plot the cycle on P‑H chart.
