INITIAL SURFACE ABSORPTION TEST APPARATUS (ISAT)
The Initial Surface Absorption Test (ISAT) apparatus is used to measure the rate of water absorption on the surface of concrete. This test provides an indicator of the permeability of the concrete surface, which directly relates to its durability. High initial absorption can indicate low durability and higher susceptibility to freeze-thaw cycles, chloride ingress, or carbonation. As per BS 1881: Part 208:1996.

The Copper Strip Tarnish Test assesses the relative degree of corrosivity of petroleum products, including aviation fuels, automotive gasoline, natural gasoline, solvents, kerosene, diesel fuel, distillate fuel oil, lubricating oil and other products.
