PIN HOLE TEST APPARATUS - FOR SOIL - ASTM D4647
As per BS 1377:5; ASTM D4647. Pinhole Test Apparatus is used for evaluating the erodibility of clay soils by flowing water through a small hole that is drilled through the compacted specimen. The apparatus consist of a cylindrical plexiglass body (container) fitted top cap with a water inlet and the base cap with an outlet connection, a plastic nipple, a plastic centering guide, a wire punch (1.0 mm), a stand to support the apparatus with 1100 mm scale and standpipe tube(Ø4mm IDx6mm OD), four pcs wire mesh, 1,5m pvc tubing with a valve, 10ml, 25ml and 50 ml graduated glass measuring cylinders and an anvil with a tamper. Constant level water tank and de-airing water equipment should be ordered separately.
